colors of love

I came home Friday afternoon from a hard day at work and found a long, black box from FTD waiting on my doorstep.  Immediately the image of red, long stem roses pops into my head.  (Isn’t that what’s always in the box in movies?)  I rushed inside and tore open the box to find the most colorful flowers I have ever seen.  Ever heard of tie-dye roses?  That’s exactly what these were. What made them the best was the attached card from Jeremiah.  It read, “Happy Anniversary Hannah.  May our future together be as colorful, fragrant, and beautiful as these roses… assuming they are actually colorful, fragrant, and beautiful. Love, Jeremiah.”  Part humor, part romance, completely Jeremiah…

  1. Wow. I have never seen tie-dyed roses before. I’m not usually a fan of dyed flowers (I like the colors nature gives them), but these are irresistible to an old tie-dye artist, just searching WordPress for mentions of the art. This is a beautiful post.
